This very rare vintage 1990 16 year-old Ardbeg Airigh Nam Beist is a very peaty and special Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky and one of the first bottlings from the year 2006. It was bottled in a limited edition without chill filtration and the addition of dyes at 46.0% vol. in the year 2006. The name of Ardbeg Airigh Nam Beist is similar to the name of Ardbeg Uigeadail and comes from one of the two water sources Loch Arinambeast and Loch Uigeadail, from which Ardbeg gets its water. The single malt is a specialty, because this vintage whisky from 1990 is one of the first single malts of Ardbeg, which was produced after the reopening in 1989 and at that time for the first time the malting of the barley was no longer taken over by Ardbeg itself, but was given to the professional large-scale malting Port Ellen Maltings and ordered after recipe.
