
Glen Moray 1995 Single Sherry Cask
A rare discontinued Glen Moray 1995 that was finished in a single sherry cask, is a distillery mangers choice and was hand bottled at cask strength of 59.6% ABV.
Tasting Notes:
Nose : Initially the aroma is intense and rich and oozes baked desserts. Also treacle toffee, creamy trifle and baked Tiramisu bring a sense of indulgence, beneath which is a tray of delicious pastries pain au chocolate, apple Danish and freshly baked croissants
Ā served with marmalade, cherries and fresh cream. While sun dried raisins in spiced bread, served with wholemeal toast and almond biscotti bring layers of warm baking.
Palate : Deep, mouth-filling and oily with a tingly effervescence. While hot toasted fruitcake, thick caramel and dark rum fill the palate with voluptuous warmth. Furthermore cinnamon spiced apples, plum sauce and prunes bring an almost cognac-like fruitiness, followed by a swathe of dark chocolate, aromatic coffee and walnut oil.
Finish : Long, deep and mouth-coating with walnut cake in treacle, baked orange marmalade and a trace of cinnamon-spiced Viennese coffee.
